Have you ever heard about Chia Seeds? It has been said that Chia Seeds is considered as superfood due to its rich nutritional content such as Omega 3 and antioxidant.

If you want to try chia seeds, you can try to find it any local market in your area. You can consume it directly as seed form, grind it and make it a drink, topping for your beverage, or grow it as sprout.

In this post I am going to show you how to grow chia seeds step by step.

First you need to prepare these tools and materials

  1. Chia Seeds
  2. Cottons
  3. Bowl
  4. Plate
  5. Water

How to grow Chia Seeds on cotton layers step by step

1. Prepare your Chia Seeds. 

You can buy in local market or trough online marketplace

2. Fill the bowl with water

Take the bowl and fill it with water. We will use it to soak chia seeds

3. Put chia seeds in that bowl

Take around a tea spoon chia seed and put them inside that bowl and then stir it a little bit.

4. leave it for at least 1-2  days

Chia seeds will take water ant its embryo will start developing.

5. Remove all floating seeds

You need to remove all floating seeds because they are not fertile.

6. Prepare the plate, put some wide cottons on it and pour some water to make the cotton wet.

Put several layers of cotton on the plate. If you don't have cottons, you can use tissue. Put water on it by using sprayer or you hand. make sure you don't make them drowning, just little bit till the cottons wet.

7. Sprinkle the seeds over the cotton layers.

Start sowing the seeds over the cotton layers. Make sure they are distributed evenly.

8. Wait for 2 - 4 days

Next thing you need to do is waiting for a couple days. You will start seeing the sprouts soon. Make sure you keep adding water so the cotton won't dry.

That is it, easy right? All you need next is just to wait the sprouts and harversting them.
